A showcase of traditional Irish sweaters, textiles, pottery and crafts - all imported directly from the maker's workshops and studios in Ireland to our iconic Toronto store.
WHERE TO FIND US
756 QUEEN ST EAST, TORONTO.
Hi, I'm Sinéad
I came to Toronto from Co. Cavan in 2013 thinking I would stay for just two years. I never planned to build a business here.
A year later, I opened a small pop-up on Queen Street East. That little pop-up became Irish Design House — and more than a decade later, Toronto is my new home away from home.
Today, I work closely with makers and small businesses across Ireland, bringing their work to Canada and sharing the stories behind the people who make it.
Even though I’m now further away from Ireland, I feel more connected to home than ever.
Our IDH staff picks of luxurious textiles, yummy smells and special gifts as we head into our favourite Fall / Winter season
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do - from the maker’s studios in Ireland to our retail displays in Toronto. We choose products made from natural materials like pure wool, linen, cotton, soy wax, native Irish woods, and locally sourced clay, all crafted with respect for people and the planet.
By supporting Irish makers and embracing slow fashion, we reduce the impact of mass production while creating timeless pieces, highlighting heritage, craftsmanship and lifelong skills.
Our packaging is eco-friendly and recyclable, and our store is furnished with reclaimed pieces, giving new life to old materials. Sustainability isn’t an afterthought - it’s our ethos and heart of who we truly are.
